the I.C.B.M.s
The icbms have been launched as a tactical strike against a music scene full of pretension and empty posturing. Brash, noisy, offensive and potentially destructive, the 4some deliver a hearty serving of what they call warehouse punk, without any bullshit - No metrosexuals, no beards, no emo hair, no whining, no fashion show. Just ugly punk rock n roll fury, without taking themselves too seriously. Established in Edmonton in mid 2006, they are less a band, more a rock n roll gang. Featuring a line up of Australian Sean the bastard on vocals, Jim Nowhere on guitar, Phildo on Bass, and Mike on drums.
Level Six Elfs
Formed in late 2004 by kalan and matt c, we just wern't content playing in matt c's garage( because of the no heat, no amps and 6 foot roof) we moved into my basement, and recorded two albums "lint" and and "ugly people" using drum tracks and kalan playing both bass and guitar. after "auditioning" the bass player matt s, ( i use that term auditioning loosely because the night consisted of heavy drinking and spitting gum into his mouth) we finally had a fucking third member and wernt like that god awful band that will remain nameless but you know which one im talking about jesus i hate them, that one with just two people...one part moustach/tight pants, one part fat man whore, one part hyperactive asthmatic. levelsixelfs tries, and fails, at making good old fashion, fast tounge in cheek fuck your mom punk rock. we know one drum beat and three chords and we still manage to fuck them up here and there. lets get one thing straight, were here for music and beer.
Ralnyk
jim "nowhere" ralnyk + random guests preform on average once in a blue moon, only as an opening act. with catchy acoustic punk, sometimes political, sometimes sad, songs about sorrow, loss, and love.
Serf X
Serf X is the experimental mind set of one James Ralnyk, it started out innocently enough as a simple fruity loops noise project, under the name "s0n|c WyLd3", in 1999. by 2005 he had stoped using computer samples and moved on to minimalistic analog recordings of rooms and mixing them with found digital samples from mistakes people were making while fixing dvd players. This continued through to 2006, but alas no recordings remain in existance. In 2007 a 4 track casette was released to a very limited run (only 6 copies ever created) entitled serfx is dead.
Live experiments have occured from time to time, although they are few and far between.
Zero Cool
